Welcome to Global Education at the School of International Studies, Chungbuk National University.

Education is a country's longest-term investment, and among the fields that most benefit from learning across borders. Classrooms today bring together students of many cultural backgrounds; education policy must respond to migration, technological change, and shifting demographics; and cooperation on education between governments and international organizations continues to grow. These changes mean that educators need more than teaching methods — they need the perspective to understand different societies and cultures.

Global Education combines educational theory with practice to prepare professionals for work in international educational cooperation, educational development, and multicultural education. Alongside foundational theory and methods of policy analysis, the program emphasizes classroom observation, case study, and field experience.

The major is offered in Chinese, English, and Korean, at both the bachelor's and master's levels. Here you will study alongside classmates from many countries — and for anyone entering the field of education, that experience is itself an essential part of the curriculum.
